The Yellow sits at the heart of the Alto development. The Yellow is designed for a thriving community who live, work and study in Wembley Park. With the aim of bringing people together, its programme of free and low cost events, workshops and classes are run by a team of over 100 local volunteers. The Yellow is part of an engagement and outreach strategy for Wembley Park, which aims to foster a vibrant and integrated community.

On the ground floor it includes a shared kitchen for cooking classes and community supper clubs, meeting rooms with TV’s and media players, performance studios with high-tech PA systems and theatre lighting, fully furnished breakout spaces and fibre optic Wi-Fi throughout. On the mezzanine area, and fully accessible, a fitness area includes gym and sport equipment, which includes a mini parkour pop-up gym.

The centre is a treasured social space for local people to learn new skills and build relationships within the community. Through its Activity Leaders framework, The Yellow encourages local people to be involved in running the centre's programmes.

Councillor Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council,  said: “This is great news – I know how important proper community space is, I’m over the moon that this much-loved centre is now even better, and can’t wait for residents to come along and see what’s on offer.
