Paul is an architect, a researcher and an academic, a Project Director at Flanagan Lawrence, and an Associate Professor at the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL.
At Flanagan Lawrence Paul is currently leading the team on Eastbank Studios for the BBC which will deliver new facilities for the BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Rock &Pop. Paul was also involved with the design of Soundforms’ Performance shell as part ofJacobs Park in San Diego, as well as the award-winning Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff with on-going works to Cardiff’s Old Library as a rehearsal studios and associated performance spaces.
Outside of architectural practice, Paul regularly contributes to academic and professional institutions as a guest lecturer, and regularly judges at the World Architecture Festival.
Paul has had research exhibited in the UK at the Tate Modern, the Science Museum, RIBA, the Barbican, and internationally in Ars Electronica Linz, IRCAM France, Austria, Finland and Japan. Paul has had research published at UCL Publications, Forum Acousticum, the Institute of Acoustics, and recently completed a PhD in Architectural design at UCL.
