Jason oversees the design review process in the office – a dynamic process which maintains a consistency of design across all sectors and has led a wide variety of projects across a range of sectors. At Wembley Jason has a Masterplan Guardian role, where he has influenced designs on the wider masterplan, as well as driving the design approach for Alto, Landsby and W03. In the world of commercial workspace Jason oversaw the design of the commercial scheme at 234 Bath Road, creating a dynamic new gateway building to the SEGRO Estate, and Liveworks in Newcastle upon Tyne, where commercial and culture came together in a sublime mix. He is also the Director responsible for the conversion of Shepherd’s Bush Pavilion into an award-winning hotel.

Prior to establishing Flanagan Lawrence, Jason’s career focused on performance space buildings, and his passion for all sound related things has continued with a series of exciting and innovative projects. Soundforms is the first mobile acoustic shell with the capacity to accommodate a full orchestra.

The Acoustic Shells on Littlehampton sea front are a sublime addition to the landscape, and  Riverside Studios in London, is a highly flexible, state-of-the-art Digital Arts Centre. The widely acclaimed Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama continues to delight and the music block at St Andrews University and a concert venue in Sunderland will continue the theme of carefully crafted buildings with a superb acoustic environment. The Szczecin Amphitheatre roof in Poland will be an elegant fusion of architecture, engineering and acoustics.

Jason’s  passion for acoustics extends beyond architecture and, as a member of Audialsense, a sound-art collaborative, he has created sound-art installations in spaces including The Turbine Hall at Tate Modern and the RIBA in London.
