Michael Hudson has a practice-wide responsibility leading the BIM and CGI teams. Joining in 2012, Michael transformed the practice’s working methodology by adopting BIM workflows and digital technologies. Under his guidance, the practice has swiftly developed a reputation for using collaborative virtual building techniques to facilitate the delivery of high-quality architecture. In 2016 Michael presented a seminar series on the business case for adopting BIM Level 2 for RIBA.
Michael is a chartered architect with experience spanning a variety of sectors including residential, cultural, education and hotels. He is always striving to apply his research into emergent virtual and fabrication technologies to his designs. Recently he co-developed software for the optimisation of the award-winning Acoustic Shells. His current research projects include data enriched nano-paint and active biometric scanning for residential well-being. Michael has presented his work at a number of international conferences and has lectured at Oxford Brookes, Nottingham Trent and Leicester De Montfort Universities.
