The Embankment, Greengate
Welcome to 2018 where work on the second phase of our Greengate scheme – 100 Embankment continues. When complete, the building will sit alongside and complement the first phase, 101 Embankment – which, after occupation in May this 2017, is now the Manchester headquarters for Swinton Insurance. Earlier in the year, 101 Embankment won Commercial Development of the Year at this year’s Insider’s North West Property Awards, where the judges acknowledged the scheme’s important role in the wider regeneration of Greengate.
11-15 Grosvenor Crescent
11-15 Grosvenor Crescent continues to take shape, revealing a beautifully crafted scheme. The project breathes new life into the Grade 2 listed building, and combines it with a dynamic new addition which complements the historic fabric.
As well as having two projects shortlisted, Jason Flanagan and Paul Bavister spoke at the World Architecture Festival, which explored the theme of performance in architecture.
Alto is Complete
The distinctive residential towers in Wembley Park achieved practical completion in November, the first of our projects in the area to do so. Alto provides 362 apartments set within a sequence of landscaped courtyard gardens and public squares. The development is part of the ongoing regeneration of Wembley Park, creating a dynamic new quarter adjacent to the Stadium.
56 Shepherd’s Bush Green
Our residentially led development in Shepherd’s Bush received planning permission. Adjacent to our award winning Shepherd’s Bush Pavilion Hotel, this project will provide 74 serviced apartments, along with a restaurant and entertainment uses. The project is now out to tender, and will be starting on site in spring 2018.
Szczecin Summer Theatre
We have received approval from the municipality for our Szczecin Summer Theatre concept design, which will provide a new fabric roof to cover the existing stage and amphitheatre in Kasprowicz’s Park, Szczecin. The project now moves into the detailed design phase, and is due on site in 2019.
YAPF at Live Works
After the project’s outstanding awards success, culminating in a RIBA National Award, Creative Director Jason Flanagan led a tour of Live Works, in partnership with RIBA Young Architects Practitioners Forum. The event offered a unique look into the development, which secures the future of a nationally significant theatre company in an impressively controlled and coherent mixed-use city centre.
