11-15 Grosvenor Crescent Approaches Completion

New photography reveals the extension and refurbishment of the historic buildings

24th Oct 2018

The completion of 11-15 Grosvenor Crescent is imminent. Ahead of the approaching landmark, new photography showcases Flanagan Lawrence’s work on the high end residential scheme.

The refurbishment and re-modelling of the original Grade II listed buildings sees a series of exceptional apartments spread across the original buildings, and into a beautifully crafted extension to the rear.

The building mediates between differing townscape scales, using materiality as well as scale and proportion to provide a carefully thought out composition. The existing building has been restored and where existing features have been lost, the grandeur of the original concept has been replaced. The approach to the introduction of contemporary elements such as bathrooms was to separate them from the existing fabric – a light touch approach which sees the best of the old sitting comfortably in contrast with the new.
