Public   Taipei Pop Music Centre

The program called for a new performing arts centre in Taipei, dedicated to their pop Music industry.

A series of performance spaces were envisaged, from arena scale outdoor spaces, to fully enclosed auditoria, rehearsal and practice spaces.

The project is conceived as a series of distinct performance spaces – each designed from the inside out – which are enveloped by an undulating roof form, which mirrors the adjacent hilly landscape.

The roof form is flexible and adapts to the needs of the space it encloses – it varies from full thermal and acoustic shelter, to open trellis, to landscaped terraces, depending on the nature of the functions below.

The project was submitted in international competition in 2010.
