Residential Copse Farm
Flanagan Lawrence won a limited competition to design a private house for a family at Copse Farm, on the outskirts of Harrow. The brief called for the development of a derelict farm to create a new family home.
Our approach was to integrate the house into its rural setting, maximising views to the south west over the hills towards Windsor. The form of the house is extruded from the contours of the landscape which create a sinuous green roof to the house which dips at each end to disappear into the surrounding fields.
Designed to attain Code for Sustainable Homes Level 5, the house incorporates its own CHP powered by Biomass harvested locally.
