Planning permission for Luton Street

Our 168 residential unit scheme receives planning permission.

14th Feb 2018

We have just received planning permission for our 168 residential unit scheme. This Link City development is a mixture of affordable and private homes. A community space and sports centre at the ground level adds to the diversity and distinctiveness of the project, consolidating Luton Street’s role in the regeneration of the area. A ‘Green Spine’ runs across the centre of the development -as part of the Council’s ‘Green Strategy’ zoning – and has been a key driver for the scheme’s massing and orientation.

Two apartment buildings face the Green Spine and align with existing neighbouring residential buildings. Along this new link between the north and south sides of the site are the entrances to the apartment buildings as well as the community space and sports hall. These provide animation along the thoughtfully landscaped space – and attract footfall and activity, enlivening the spine as a public space.
