Tim Thompson joined Flanagan Lawrence in August 2006 as an Associate Director to assist with programming, project management, team financing, resourcing and technical guidance, as well as establishing team guidelines and standards to assist in the consistency and accuracy of project production information. Projects that Tim has been involved with at Flanagan Lawrence include; team leader for the architectural interior fit out for the luxury apartments at One Hyde Park; contract administrator for the architectural fit out of a luxury penthouse at One Hyde Park; site architect for private residential development in St John’s Wood, London; compliance monitoring team leader for the residential and commercial new build at Fitzroy Place, residential new build at Kings Cross Central and residential new build at Nova, Victoria London. Tim is also the quality manager at Flanagan Lawrence responsible for setting up, maintaining and improving the quality management systems for ISO 9001 certification as well as leading the internal auditing of projects, design management, business management and office support. In addition Tim is the leader of the technical support group for projects providing advice and guidance on construction, contracts, appointments and project procedures.
Prior to joining Flanagan Lawrence, Tim worked for Arup for six years and before that, 12 years at Terry Farrell and Partners. Some of his project experience includes: new railway station interchange and masterplan for air rights at Kowloon, Hong Kong; the Museum of the Moving Image, South Bank London (now the NFT); the redevelopment of Do Rossio Station in Lisbon, and a new ferry terminal at Barreiro, Portugal; cladding and Villiers Street buildings to the air rights development over Charing Cross station (Embankment Place, London); the cladding & interior design as well as site architect of a bespoke government office building at Vauxhall Cross, London; architectural team leader and site architect for the refurbishment and new build of St Pancras International railway station; project architect for a UNESCO winning design entry for a Library & Cultural Centre, Dubai.
