Since joining Flanagan Lawrence in 2012, Simon has worked on a residential led mixed use masterplan in Greenford, within the old GSK pharmaceutical headquarters site, consisting of 593 residential units, a retail store, cinema, restaurants, community use, and the residential conversion of the existing grade 2 listed building ‘Glaxo House’.
Simon has recently been working on Alto Apartments, Wembley. Won at competition, guided through planning and now on site, the 362 unit residential scheme with ground floor retail and community use hopes to set a new bench mark for residential development within the ongoing regeneration of Wembley Park.
Simon is now Project Architect for Plot W03, Wembley – a 340 unit 100% PRS residential scheme with ground floor retail, resident amenity facilities and roof top gardens. Plot W03 is superbly sited at the entrance way to the Stadium and will be an exciting landmark within the emerging Wembley Park Masterplan. The project is due to complete in 2019.
Simon studied architecture at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2006, he was awarded ‘Arup Environmental Design Award’ for his final year thesis project- ‘Healing Homes in Healthy Communities’. Simon completed his M.Arch with the University of Nottingham and achieved professional qualification in 2008.
Prior to Flanagan Lawrence, Simon worked for bptw partnership on several residential, mixed use, masterplan and regeneration projects across the UK. These included: master planning two urban blocks in Salford Manchester, consisting of 250+ new homes, a new Legion Club and incorporation of a health centre; and a new build estate regeneration scheme at Loughborough Park Estate, Brixton – a 525 unit scheme with community centre and landscaped gardens.
