Key Projects: 12 New Fetter Lane, London; Alto Apartments, London
Since joining Flanagan Lawrence in 2013, Igor has worked on the detailed design for the fit-out of the New Fetter Lane office building, an innovative 15 storey development in the City of London. He is currently the project architect for the Alto Apartments residential scheme in Wembley, London. This large scale development is set to become a new landmark for the area, setting new standards for urban living. Currently on site, the project is due to complete in late 2017.
Igor has also been responsible for some of the practice’s shortlisted competition entries, including most recently for Project 2020, a design contest run by leading residential developer, Taylor Wimpey. The competition sought architects worldwide to develop new, innovative ideas and create the housing typology of the future.
Igor graduated from the University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest, in 2000, and worked in New Haven (USA) and Barcelona. He also completed a Master’s Programme at the Barcelona School of Architecture.
Prior to Flanagan Lawrence, Igor worked for Pickard Chilton Architects in New Haven on several large commercial developments – AIM Corporate Headquarters, Houston, ER One Office of Emergency Preparedness, Washington DC. In Barcelona he worked with Josep Benedito and Agusti Mateos and he successfully delivered a wide range of public and private projects: EIC School in Salou, Remand Prison and Pre-Trial Detention Centre in Barcelona, CEPID Laboratories for Research and Development in Reus, Communication Campus in Barcelona, City Police Headquarters in Barcelona.
