Key Projects: Wembley Park Masterplan, London; 56 Shepherd’s Bush Green, London; W03, Wembley; Verona Arena, Italy; Bromley-by-Bow, London; Ross Pavilion, Scotland

Most recently, Giovanna was the Project Architect responsible for the design and coordination of the mixed use project in Bromley-by-Bow for British Land. She was also responsible for the design of the competition entry for the Ross Pavilion in Edinburgh, a global competition for which Flanagan Lawrence were shortlisted from over 100 entries.

Giovanna led the practice’s entry for a competition which sought minimal and ‘fully reversible’ roofing proposals for the historic Verona Arena in Italy. The project proposal improved usability by allowing performances to continue during adverse weather, while also assisting with conservation of the historic structure.

Prior to Flanagan Lawrence, Giovanna spent four years at Foster + Partners, where she worked across a broad range of sectors, on projects including the UAE Pavilion for the Milan Expo. She also spent three years working for Zaha Hadid Architects in Italy. There, she worked on projects such as the Napoli Afragola High Speed Train Station, the Salerno Maritime Terminal, and the CityLife Milano Residential Complex.
