Building upon Flanagan Lawrence’s portfolio of projects in Wembley, Ujima House has received planning consent.

A key regeneration project for Brent Council, Ujima House delivers 54 affordable homes in the Wembley Housing Zone on Wembley High Road.

The scheme helps to revitalise the high street with a new civic scale building rising to 10 storeys. On the ground floor a new north-south pedestrian route opens up the public realm with a vibrant new workspace, café and residential entrance.

The detailed articulation of the building increases residential quality and maximises dual aspect provision whilst reducing the risk of overheating. A dedicated residents’ roof terrace and garden is provided with children’s playspace.

Flanagan Lawrence are the architects behind the already transforming Wembley Park Masterplan having completed 3 residential schemes currently totalling approximately 1,100 new homes in Wembley.

Historical Context

Designated in 2015 and partly funded by the Mayor of London, the Wembley Housing Zone aims to create new homes and jobs, new commercial and community spaces, public realm improvements and increased accessibility for pedestrians, cyclists and road users.
